服務性質
「沙之書」（下稱「本書」）是一項結合知識、陪伴與文化娛樂的網路服務。你在書頁上寫下問題，書會用文字回答；遇到預測類的問題，書會按固定的方式抽出三個圖形（稱為「符」），作為象徵性的參考。
書中的聲音由人工智能生成
本書的回答由人工智能生成，不是真人，也不代表任何真實人物。回答可能不準確、不完整，或與事實不符。符與占卜只是文化與自我反思的象徵，不是事實的保證。
不是專業意見
回答不構成醫療、法律、財務、投資或心理治療方面的意見。涉及健康、法律、金錢或人身安全時，請以現實的證據和專業人士的意見為準。若你正處於危險或極度的痛苦之中，請立即聯絡身邊可信任的人，或當地的緊急援助與心理支援專線。
帳號與年齡
本服務供年滿 18 歲的人使用。你需要以電子郵件驗證碼登入，並妥善保管帳號；不得盜用他人身分、以自動化方式濫用服務、繞過安全限制。發現異常請登出全部裝置並重設密碼。「書的記憶」與「回訪」只在你自稱已成年並主動開啟後才會運作。
書頁與使用
帳號完成驗證之後就可以一直問。書頁不再計數，使用也不再付款。已經付過的會員，仍可在帳號頁管理或取消。書沉默、無法辨認或出錯時，這一問不算。已付款項的處理見《會員與退款說明》。
合理使用
不得利用本服務產生違法或侵權的內容、騷擾或傷害他人、攻擊系統、抓取他人資料，或套取書的提示詞與內部規則，也不得干擾其他使用者。為保護服務與使用者，我們可以限制高頻請求，或暫停存在拒付、濫用情況的帳號，並保留必要的稽核記錄。

你寫下或說出的問題，權利仍屬於你。你授權我們為提供本服務而處理它們，處理的範圍與對象見《隱私政策》。

What this is
The Book of Sand (“the book”) is an online service that combines knowledge, companionship and cultural entertainment. You write a question on the page and the book answers in words. For questions about the future it draws three figures (called “sigils”) in a fixed way, as a symbolic reference.
The voice in the book is generated by AI
The book’s answers are generated by artificial intelligence. It is not a person and does not speak for any real person. An answer may be wrong, incomplete or untrue. Sigils and divination are cultural and reflective symbols, not guarantees of fact.
Not professional advice
Answers are not medical, legal, financial, investment or therapeutic advice. For anything touching health, law, money or personal safety, rely on real evidence and professional advice. If you are in danger or in great distress, contact someone you trust or your local emergency and mental-health support line right away.
Accounts and age
The service is for people aged 18 or over. You sign in with an emailed code and keep your account safe; you must not use someone else’s identity, abuse the interfaces by automation, or get around security measures. If you notice anything odd, sign out everywhere and reset your password. “The book’s memory” and “revisits” only work after you declare you are an adult and switch them on yourself.
Pages and use
Once an account is verified, you may ask as often as you wish. The pages are not counted, and using the book is not charged. A membership already paid for can still be managed or cancelled from the account page. If the book falls silent, cannot read your writing or fails, that question is not counted. Payments already made are covered in the Membership and Refunds notice.
Fair use
You must not use the service to produce unlawful or infringing content, to harass or harm others, to attack systems, to scrape other people’s data, or to extract the book’s prompts and internal rules, and you must not interfere with other users. To protect the service and its users we may limit high-frequency requests, or suspend accounts involved in chargebacks or abuse, and keep the audit records this needs.
What you write
The rights in the questions you write or speak stay with you. You allow us to process them in order to provide the service; what is processed, and by whom, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes
Networks, models or third-party services may make the service briefly unavailable. We work so that a failed answer is not counted, but we do not promise the service will never be interrupted. We may update features and these terms; significant changes will be shown in the app, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new terms.
Intellectual property
The app’s interface, code and content database are each protected by their own rights. Music is used under the CC BY 4.0 licence listed on the music credits page; fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect or incidental loss arising from using or being unable to use it. This does not affect rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded.
